Houston Audit Success – March 2026

Successful ISO recertifications for K2 Houston.

From 19th- 25th March, K2’s Houston office underwent its annual audit process for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, with an external independent third-party auditor assessing both our Quality Management and Environmental Management systems.

As part of the audit, policies and processes were reviewed, and a series of employee interviews were conducted across the business. These interviews help to assess how well our systems are understood by our people and embedded in day-to-day operations. K2 Houston, with the support of the Compliance team, has once again passed the audit with no non-conformances and no opportunities for improvement identified, a result that reflects the strength, maturity, and consistent application of our management systems across the organisation.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) provides globally recognised frameworks that support organisations in improving processes, reducing risk, and achieving operational excellence, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management, requiring businesses to assess and manage environmental impacts such as waste, resource use, and efficiency.

ISO 9001 is the world’s leading quality management standard, demonstrating that an organisation’s processes are effective and consistently deliver high-quality services.

Maintaining certification in both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 continues demonstrates K2’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and delivering trusted, high-performing services.

The auditor noted that while K2’s direct environmental impact remains relatively low, the business demonstrates a clear and proactive understanding of its wider environmental footprint. This is reflected in K2’s ongoing commitment to measuring, managing, and communicating environmental impact, as well as to embedding sustainability considerations into everyday operations and reporting.

The audit also highlighted the strength of K2’s approach to quality management in practice, particularly in relation to the clarity of roles, consistency in service delivery, and the seamless way processes are applied across teams. This reflects a well-embedded system that supports not just compliance, but continuous, reliable performance across K2.

With upcoming audits scheduled in Australia in July and the UK in September, K2 continues to maintain its focus on consistency and excellence across all regions.

On the result of this most recent audit in Houston, K2’s Global Head of Compliance and ESG, Linda Rafferty, comments:
